Localizing the Back in Stock Product Alerts Feature
The back in stock alerts feature (and Back in Stock Product Alerts app) supports the ability to localize the feature UI and alert messages to the language of your choice by updating the feature strings with appropriate translations. This feature is supported on all of our paid plans and requires a few manual steps to be completed. You can request this feature for your store via the app dashboard and our support team will follow up with you to get this configured.
Once you enable this option on the feature dashboard, our support team will share the list of strings used in the feature with you so that you can provide your desired translations. We will then configure the feature for your store to use those customized strings instead of the defaults. Please note that we can only support one language for a store via this approach since the strings are preconfigured for the feature with this approach. If your site supports multiple languages and you’d like the back in stock alerts feature (or Back in Stock Product Alerts app) to dynamically use those languages based on each user’s preference, you’ll need to customize the app using our APIs to enable that dynamic support.
