How to Enable Save for Later
The Save for Later feature is designed to reduce shopping cart abandonment by enabling your shoppers to move products from their cart that they aren’t planning to purchase immediately to a Save for Later list.
It has not been fully released, so you may need to request early access in order to enable it. Visit our Save for Later feature overview page request early access.
To enable Save for Later, navigate to CONFIGURE > Wishlist Plus in Swym Admin. You will find the Save for Later option in the Engagement Features section. Click “Configure” to get started.
On the Save for Later page, you’ll first need to enable the feature by clicking the “Enable” button in the top left control. Note: This doesn’t make the feature live on your site, it simply makes the feature available for you to configure in Swym Admin.
Once you’ve enabled the feature, the Save for Later configuration options are available for you to access.
By default, shoppers are prompted via a popup to save products for later when they delete a product from their shopping cart.
Enable the popup by clicking the “Enable” button.
You now have the option of customizing the copy and button color for the popup. Changes you make are reflected in the preview window to the right of the configuration form.
You can also choose whether to ask the shopper if they want to see the popup again. Enabling will add a checkbox to the form to capture the shopper’s preference.
Once you’re happy with how the popup looks click “Save Changes”.
Below the form you’ve just saved, you’ll see a “Gradual rollout” section, which allows you to determine what percentage of shopping cart visitors see this new feature. Use this feature to gradually introduce this to your shoppers if you’re nervous about making changes to your shopping cart. If you’d like to ramp up the rollout over time you can do so by adjust the percentage. Once you’re confident the feature is performing well for you, simply disable gradual rollout.
Once you’re happy with how the save for later popup is configured you can preview the changes on your live site. Click on the “Preview Changes” in the upper right, which will open a modal explaining how the preview works.
The preview will be available in your browser for you to test for 5 minutes. If you need more time you can preview as many times as you like.
Once you’re happy with the configuration and you’re ready to make it live on your site, click the “Publish to Store” button.
Save for later should now be live on your website. If you run into any issues or have questions don’t hesitate to reach out to us at email@example.com.
