Once the product gets restocked, does the In Stock Alerts app automatically send mails?

If your store is on a paid plan – In Stock Alerts automatically sends email alerts to subscribers once the product gets restocked. For stores on a Free plan, you can get the list of subscribers and their email addresses from the Reports section. You can download this list for no extra cost and export it into a mail list – so you could send in email in the format that you would like.

Can the email template be customized?

Yes, we can customize the email templates for customers on a paid plan. We can insert the logo, change some content or match the font styles and colors as per your store’s branding. We would require links to any images files (such as logos) that you would like included, plus the content that needs to be replaced. A mock-up of the email template that you require would be really helpful to process your request faster. Please contact our support team to get this customization done.

Does this app work when variants are sold out, or just the entire product?

Yes, In Stock Alerts works on variant selection. Ideally, the variant of the product should be selected (the URL should reflect the change in the variant – with the variant number appearing); the stock of that product should be 0 – and thus, the In Stock Alerts button would appear so shoppers can subscribe for alerts. Once the product, of this variant is in stock (stock updated to 1), and your store is on a paid plan the subscribers will be alerted of the product being back in stock via email.

I have a paid plan, and I have updated the inventory level but I haven’t received an email alerts on my test email address?

Our code listens to Shopify’s code to update us on any change in the inventory levels. Please make sure that the Inventory policy set for the product on Shopify admin console is set to ‘Shopify tracks this product’s inventory’. If this setting has already been saved – it is likely your email alerts could be in a queue. Please wait an hour, and if you still have not received an email alert – do contact our support team and we should be able to track the email and investigate further, and address your query.

In Stock Alerts button not appearing, what do I do?

Ideally, the In Stock alerts button should appear if the inventory level is set to ‘0’ or less. Our code is set so that it reads the Add to Cart or Sold out button text and attaches itself to it. We have noticed that certain themes use different element names – and we would just need to extend support for our button to appear. In case the inventory level for the product is set to ‘0’ and the button does not appear, please contact support for assistance and we should be able to assist and address your query as swiftly as possible.

 

What is included with In Stock Alerts’ app Free plan?

On a Free plan,  the ‘Notify me’ or ‘Email me when available’ button will appear on products with inventory level set to 0 on shopify admin console. Shoppers can enter their email address and subscribe for an alert. The admin can find the email addresses and data on the products for which alerts have been subscribed for – from Swym Dashboard -> Reports -> Alerts Subscriptions. You can then send personalized email alerts to these email addresses. You can download the report and import it to your mail service provider list.

I am unable to complete installation. The wizard does not take me to the next step?

We have code checks in place that do not support certain special characters in the email field or in the store name field. This could be the reason why the wizard is not allowing you to complete the setup. Please remove any special characters and try again. In case you would like the special characters such as (©, ™, ® etc) to be included – please contact our support team and we shall certainly try and help out.

Can the In Stock Alerts email pop-up be customized to match my website’s branding?

Yes, we can customize the font styles and colors to match the website’s branding. We have also made text changes and language changes for customers on a paid plan. Please email our support team and they would certainly be able to look at your site, make suggestions and help customize the app to suit your requirements.

When I enter my email to be notified of a product back in stock, nothing reflects in the Swym dashboard?

The code that runs to update the dashboard runs every 2 hours. Please check the dashboard reports 2 hours or so after you have subscribed for an product alert or have updated the inventory level. The reports should reflect the data by then. If you still do not see the report updated, please email our support team and one of us should certainly help out with the issue.

Is there a way to get a list of emails or products or is this a Pro feature?

You can view and download the alert subscription report from Swym Dashboard -> Under Reports, Alert Subscriptions. You can also get the list of products alerts have been subscribed for and list of users who have subscribed for alerts from In Stock Alerts Products and In Stock Alerts Users. The ‘Sent Emails’ (available only for customers on a paid plan) report gives you the list of email address/products for which alerts have been sent to.

Can I customize the Wishlist module and the emails to blend with my Shopify site’s brand?

How do I change the heart image of the Add to Wishlist button that appears on the product pages?
It is quite simple to change the Add to Wishlist button’s heart image. Just edit the following style for the Wishlist button: swym-button-bar.
1. Before add to wishlist state –

I have the launch point in my site’s header, how do I display a counter in header menu

We do not have an out of the box option to display a counter next to the icon in the header menu. However, please use the following API, and attach the piece of code below to the Javascript code on page load. Again for any queries on this please email us and we would be happy to assist further.

While we do not have an out of the box  way to add the fave counter in the header menu, you can just add the following piece of code to the Javascript on page load. Contact us if this API does not work for you, we would be happy to assist.

How can I verify that my Wishlist+ module is installed correctly?

Once the Wishlist+ app is installed from the Shopify app store, you will get redirected to the Swym Dashboard so you can finish setting up the module for your site. This is where you specify all the configuration options for your Wishlist+ and publish those settings to enable the module. Once it is published, you can check the following items to verify that the module is configured successfully:

  1. The launch button for the Wishlist button should be visible on your site at the specified position, unless you chose a Custom option for the button.
  2. Clicking on the launch button should launch the Wishlist+ UI module
  3. You should see a red “heart” button (that serves as the Add to Wishlist button) on  your Product pages
  4. Clicking on the red “heart” button on a product should add that product to your wishlist – you should see a notification alert that shows up on the site confirming that the product has been added. You can also launch the Wishlist+ UI to verify that the item now shows up on your wishlist

If you see any issues with any of the above items, please email us about the issue you are seeing so we can investigate and resolve as soon as possible.

Can I use Swym Wishlist+ if I already have a Wishlist feature on my website?

Technically, yes, you can use the Wishlist+ app if you have another Wishlist already enabled on your site but it will likely become very confusing for your users when they see 2 Wishlists on the site. If  you are really keen on leaving your current Wishlist on the site and enabling Swym Wishlist+, we can help you with a custom implementation that allows you to integrate the two modules = – please email us at support@swymcorp.com if you’d like to explore that.

How is Swym Relay different from the Wishlist feature that I already have on my e-commerce website?

There are significant differentiators that Swym Wishlist+ provides as an engagement module on your site:

  1. Unlike most other Wishlist solutions, Swym Wishlist+ does not require the user to be logged in to be able to use the feature. We believe the login barrier is a significant one and that its important to make it very easy for users to add products to their collections without being signed on, especially when they are on a mobile device.
  2. Swym Wishlist+ works across devices – your shoppers can access their Wishlit+ contents via your website on any of their devices and have access to their shopping history.
  3. Swym Wishlist+ isn’t limited to just a Wishlist – it helps gather the user’s entire shopping history on your site (browse history, products added to cart etc.) and organizes them in an intuitive fashion for the shopper to be able to easily access them later on

What configuration options are available to me for Swym Wishlist+?

We’ve made a concerted effort to minimize the number of steps an admin needs to perform to get Swym Wishlist+ enabled on their site. Once the app is installed, you simply provide the following information to take the module live:

  1. A label for your Wishlist – you’ll want to choose a label that users will identify with your branding. Creating a cool and hip experience around your “wishlist” can help drive much better engagement over time, so please choose your branding accordingly
  2. Skin color for the Wishlist+ UI module – you could either choose the color picker we provide, or directly specify the HEX code for your desired color.
  3.  Default site currency
  4. Position for the Swym Wishlist+ anchor button: This is a floating button that can be positioned in one of four predefined locations on your site (mid-right, mid-left, bottom-right, bottom-left). Alternatively, you could choose to add a custom anchor to your site instead of these pre-defined positions, or use your site menu to add a menu item and link it to the Wishlist+ module on your site (This blog post covers the menu option in more detail)

Once you provide these, simply click on Publish to take the module live on your site – that’s it!

How do I install Swym Wishlist+ on my Shopify site?

The Swym Wishlist+ app is available for download via the Shopify App store. Simply click on the Get button on the page, provide your store information and the app will then install on your site. Once the install is complete, you’ll be redirected to your Swym Dashboard page to configure the module for your site.

Do I need to know how to code to install Swym Wishlist+? How long does installation take?

You do not need to know how to code. The Shopify Wishlist+ app is a one-click installation that only takes a couple of minutes to add to your site.

Does Swym Wishlist+ have any pre-requisites for installation?

Swym Wishlist+ is supported on all Shopify tiers. However, we require that you use a custom domain for your store – we are not currently supported on myshopify.com domain stores.

Is Swym Wishlist+ a free app?

The Swym Wishlist+ app has a Starter Edition that is FREE, and always will be. We are also in the process of rolling out a Pro Edition with an even more compelling set of features that will be a paid app.

Why do I need a wishlist for my ecommerce site?

Wishlists allow shoppers to maintain curated collections of products that they are interested in but aren’t necessarily looking to purchase right away. Its important to recognize that shoppers might go through a long consideration phase before they ultimately decide to make a purchase, and having this curated list handy while they are in their consideration phase can be very helpful. Having a simple-to-use wishlist is critical to driving sustainable engagement with your shoppers.

From the e-commerce site’s perspective, wishlists also arm the marketer with powerful signals that reflect shoppers’ purchase intent and can be used to effectively target those users with relevant content, promotions etc. Also, from an ecommerce site buyer’s perspective, wishlists can also help provide insights on demand for various products and influence their purchasing decisions for the business.

What is Swym Wishlist+?

Swym Wishlist+ is a Shopify wishlist app you can install on your site to provide your shoppers with a personalized shopping assistant module that organizes their shopping history for them – Recent browsing history, Wishlist and items they’ve added to their cart. The goal for Wishlist+ is to make it easy for shoppers to Pick up where they left off. As opposed to traditional Wishlists, Swym Wishlist+ doesn’t require users to be logged in for them to use the module.

Also, Wishlist+ is inherently cross-device and will allow your shoppers to access their wishlist contents on any of their devices while visiting your site.
